Here is an original 5-SPEED CHAINGUARD came along with a late 1960s Schwinn Stingray 5-speed muscle bike! I BELIEVE this is correct for your 1968-70+ era Schwinn Stingray, Deluxe, Fenderless 5-speed, etc. (Pea Picker Krate is close but has chrome trim)
This one comes as shown! Has the correct rear mount in place. (rivet is loose but attached) The Stingray screen appears to be original.
It has obvious age, scratches, scrapes, etc. I LOVE the fact that this one still wears its original paint.
I did a blue 68 Fenderless 5-speed back in 2007. It took me forever to find a guard like this! I hope this goes to a good home!
Sold as is because it is used.
