I changed the listing specifics from New to Open box because  The unit is actually new, I had the unit tested by a solar engineer on a test bench for operation prior me listing and all aspects of this unit works fine,so I now have a benchmark documentation to show that the unit is shipped operational  even new equipment can be defective out of the box.I will not accept a return on this item because the if the buyer does not know what they are doing can damage the unit easily if installed wrong,If you purchase do your home work and if you have any questions about installation get a professional to install. It is not fair to me the seller to have to refund the sale get back a damaged unit back and I have done nothing wrong and now I am out the money and have a unit that is worth nothing!  The unit should have full factory warranty because it has never been registered the manufacture also will not warranty a faulty installation that results in damage to a unit. in rating these units are always in the top ranking

The Epever charge controller is the Mac Daddy of controllers in my opinion it was BRAND NEW IN BOX I opened to inspect and admire for the system and to take pictures, unit testing. I selling as an open  box. I never registered the warranty  it is in the original factory carton with packing and instructions. I do not accept returns so make sure this is what you want for your system. That you install properly.This unit is very reliable and will give years of service but is very delicate as to wiring wrong a 12 volt dc circuit can not handle 120 a/c applied by mistake , when wired properly its bullet proof great for marine use as long as it is not exposed to "water" as well as any other type of electronic control
