    Description
    Title:
Graham Scientific Breeding School: How to Make Barren Cows Breed, for Breeders and Herdsmen Only
    Author:
Graham Scientific Breeding School; Frank B. Graham
    Description:
Staple-bound in printed wraps. Very light wear. Clean. 32 pp. 9 x 6 inches.
Pamphlet promoting the Graham Scientific Breeding School and their touring classes for breeders and herdsmen. Includes group photos of the attendees to past classes on the West Coast (Los Angeles 1926; Portland 1926; Bakersfield 1928; Portland 1928; Modesto 1929) with each person identified by name, farm employed at, and location (e.g. "Earl Graham, Midland Holstein Farm, Rivera, California"). Includes several pages of testimonies and a few shorter blurbs about the school's Barren Cow Treatment, dealing with cows that abort (the New Abortion Plan), and various other aspects about fertility, udder problems, delivering calves, removing the placenta, etc.
The Graham School was founded in 1909 by Frank B. Graham, a graduate of the Kansas City Veterinarian College. The school traveled around the country educating ranchers and horse and cattle breeders. The last traveling class was held in 1959, but the Graham School continued their mission at Garnett, Kansas, and is still in business today.
