Frame:
2o ½" Width x 26 ¼" Height
DESCRIPTION:
Untouched and undisturbed. There are no repairs, mending or gluing of the paper previously done. The broadside was simply float-mounted (not laid down) on top of a piece of board and framed for the purposes of photography and shipping. The slight tears and discoloration occur where the paper broadside was folded. Unadulterated, not cut-down and in original antique condition. Suffice to say, fortunately, it wasn't messed with. The broadside is a late 19th century veterinary advertisement, down with black ink period typography of various fonts and sizes, with a center image of a standing black horse. The paper broadside was previously folded and there's some minor splitting along these seams toward the center of the paper, where the folds criss-cross in the middle. Nothing has been done, such as the use of tape, acid-free or otherwise, to mend and close these breaks in the paper. It can be easily repaired professionally with acid-free, archival tape on the back. Superlative.
CONDITION:
Fair to Good overall antique condition. Untouched and undisturbed. No repairs, mending or gluing of the paper has been done. The broadside was simply float-mounted on top of a piece of board and framed for the purposes of photography and shipping. The slight tears and discoloration occurs where the paper broadside was folded.
