Just lay down the material you want to cut on your steel work bench and place the Magnetic straight edge on top of it with the magnetic switches in the off position. When you have the straight edge positioned exactly where you want it, Just flip the switches to the on position and your ready to start your cut. The 2 magnets with 100 lbs of pulling power each will easily hold your work in place. When your done just flip the switches to the off position and the straight edge can be easily set aside. For narrower material the magnets can be moved to 5 changeable position to accommodate your projects needs.
