    Description

This auction is for a super cool set of what were a very high end set of wheels that came off of a 1980's Revcore build I broke down.  The hubs are chrome suzue sealed hubs with a nice used suntour freewheel.  The rims are hard anodized high end early MAVIC double walled and nippled hole rims, with chrome spokes.  The MAVIC logo was flaking off and was in an ugly orange color so I rubbed it the rest of the way off each rim.   They are straight and spin well.  The rear has brake rub more so than the front, which has minor signs of brake rub.   The rear hub has some areas of flaking in the chrome which is common but not serious in my opinion.  They have a unique lace pattern with the spokes laced outward in the hubs which adds to the cool factor on these wheels.  I'm leaving the original blue and gray label comp 3's that were on them when I got them.  The front tire is still in great shape with fading of the label, but the rears label is gone and the side wall has an area in which it dry rotted to the point the tube is pushing it out but still good enough for a display.  Tone of thread on both tires, but rear isn't something I'd ride on.  Whoever had this set of wheels back in the day spent some money on them as when these rims came out in the later have of the 80's they were almost twice the cost of araya's.
Out of country Buyers : I'll sell this item out of country, but be aware the shipping quote by ebay is always wrong.  If you win from out of country don't pay until I send you an invoice.  I'll combine shipping, but will not listed the value of the part for less than what it sells for as I can't insure it if I do that.  Also there will be an a
utomatic .00 on top of the shipping cost for tracking on all items worth over 0.  I don't ship to South America as I've been scammed to many times.
US Buyers: I try not to make money on shipping. I estimate what the highest shipping in the continental US will be, based on past cost and I set the price based on that.  I adjust for .00 to .00 in packaging supply cost etc.  Sometimes the final shipping cost is less and sometimes more than what I’ve set the shipping cost at.  I’m sorry but I can’t possibly get an exact shipping cost for every item after it’s sold, that would take days to do with 20 to 30 items being sold weekly.   With all this being said please don’t buy any of my items if you’re not happy with the quoted shipping cost, because I’m not going to refund over charges, or charge you for undercharges etc, because after all you know the shipping cost when you place your bid. I’m not trying to be rude, but it’s impossible to get the shipping cost right every time and it’s so frustrating when people buy an item that they know the shipping cost of an then complain about the shipping cost.    I buy many items on ebay and understand there’s no possible way to get the shipping cost correct every time and I wouldn’t ever think of complaining about a shipping cost that I knew about before I placed my bid, and I would hope fellow ebays would use the same rational when buying from me.
I always combine shipping just wait for an invoice, which I usually will have to you within two business days.
