    Pair of bold, but lightweight cut steel earrings from England.   We have replaced the ear wires with hypoallergenic stainless steel wires.   The backs of the earrings are brass
    Cut steel earrings are labor intensive; a pair can take up to several weeks to create.   First a form has to be created with holes to accommodate the hand-setting of the cut steel rivets.   The art of cut steel was prevalent throughout Europe during both the Georgian and Victorian eras.  Production of cut steel in the U.S. started in the late 19th century and continued up through the mid-20th century
    This pair has a nice variety of cut steel rivets accompanied with  a classic Victorian design
